''Cauchas simpliciella'' is a moth of the Adelidae family or ''fairy longhorn moths''. It was described by Walsingham in 1880. It is found from Montana to the Pacific north-west of North America〔(Bug Guide )〕 and south along the coast, including British Columbia and California.〔(mothphotographersgroup )〕 The forewings are dark bronze to bright purplish. Adults have an orange head. They are on wing from late March to July. The larvae feed on ''Erysimum'' and sometimes ''Arabis'' and ''Thelypodium'' species. ==References==
